- Is the link between the Consortium and the EU Commission
- Co-ordinates the research activities of the project in
co-operation with the Steering Committee
- Takes the initiative for organising emergency meetings of
the Steering Committee
- Distributes the EU funds to the partners according to the
progress of the research activities,
following the rules described by the Contract and the decisions of the
Steering Committee
Role
of the Steering Committee
- The
Steering Committee is formed by the scientists in charge
of all participating partners
- Defines or modifies the objectives of specific research
activities in order the project objectives to be accomplished
- Co-ordinates the progress of the project by regulating the
correct timing of the various interrelated tasks
- Approaches administrative, technical, and financial problems
related to the realisation of the project
- Assumes the responsibility for the preparation of the annual
reports and the final report to be submitted the EU Commission
- It comes together during the scheduled workshops or whenever
it is necessary
The
Role of Task-Leaders and Partners
- Take the initiative for organising meetings of the working
team of the task for planning and assigning activities or discussing
results
- Coordinate the research activities involved in the task
- Monitor the progress of the working team in meeting the
assigned milestones or deadlines
- Present research results obtained by the working team at the
scheduled workshops and report the progress with respect to task
objectives
Workshops
and Other Meetings
- Workshops will take place regularly every six months. They
will be attended by at least one representative of
each running activity and the Steering Committee
- Meetings of the Steering Committee may also take place when
important questions have to be settled
- Short working meetings (technical meetings) of scientists
collaborating in the same task can be also organised for specific
problematics
Consortium Agreement
- Describes the specific responsibilities of each participants
concerning research activities
- Defines the decision-making mechanism of the Consortium
(Steering Committee, Working Teams, Workshops, etc.).
- Describes the exploitation plans
- Indicates the intellectual properties of the scientific and
technological results achieved during the project
